Covid Safe Practices at Battle of the Sounds

The following are mandatory Covid-Safe practices as directed by SA Health:
◽️ UNALLOCATED SEATING: patrons must remain seated in their seat for the duration of the event unless using the venue facilities e.g. bar, toilets. Seating will be in checkerboard format where the seat in front, behind and beside has been left empty to maintain social distancing.
◽️ SOCIAL GROUPS: Patrons are requested to arrive and depart in their social groups where possible.
◽️ CLOAKROOM UNAVAILABLE. Bags larger than A3 and backpacks will not be admitted into the venue
◽️ NO PASSOUTS under any circumstances
◽️CHECK IN Thebarton Theatre has an issued COVID-19 QR code for its location. Each person visiting the venue must check-in using the QR Code via the mySA GOV App or paper attendance record regardless of relation. Each patron is asked to display the ‘Last Check In’ screen upon entry, or sign the paper-based register.

About Battle of the Sounds

The Battle Of The Sounds Finals, who will win and claim the title of SA’s best up and coming band of 2020? Which band’s will win over $15,000 worth in prizes?

The ‘Battle Of The Sounds’ competition is being resurrected in South Australia to give local up and coming original bands / music artists (in youth category 25 and under) an opportunity to perform and win over $15,000 in prizes; including the chance to perform alongside some of Australia’s greatest musicians at one of SA’s biggest up and coming concerts – the ‘Myponga Music Festival 2021’.

The legendary Battle of the Sounds competition was an annual focal point for Australian rock music from its inception in 1966 until it finished in 1972. Throughout the competition’s history many Adelaide bands were propelled to greater fame, these included The Twilights, Zoot, Masters Apprentices, Fraternity and Headband.

This event has been postponed from Friday 4 November 2020 then 13 March 2021 and is now Sunday 23 May 2021 due to the Covid restrictions set by SA Health. All existing tickets will remain valid for the postponed date.

All Ages

This event is all ages. All patrons must hold a ticket regardless of age. It is recommended that patrons 15 years of age and under are accompanied by a paying Adult.
